SUMMER!

Bring on the sun, friends, and fun!

For a fun Father's Day activity, we decided to teach the girls how to play "Settlers of Catan."  (I can't believe they are old enough for that now!)

We are less than a month into the summer and we are on our 3rd bottle of sunscreen already!

Every summer they have a family party at my Love's work.  The bouncy houses are the girls favorite part.

On of the books the girls read for school this past year was "Lemonade War."  Ever since, the girls have wanted to have a go at their own lemonade stand.
(These sweet girls worked on these signs for 3 hours!)

For all that work, I wish they would have gotten a few more customers.  But, that's kinda one the things they needed to learn from this experience.  Making money is hard.

Summer so far has been non stop.  Library performances, play dates, summer movies.  ALWAYS something to do.  As long as I'm doing with these three, I'm happy to do it.

Girls Scout Mother Daughter Campout

The twins girl scout troop had a Mother Daughter Camp Out this year.  I was the "Camp Mom."  I REALLY wanted everything to go well.  And I'm happy to say that it did.  Dinner was a little over cooked, but we made do and nobody starved.  Other than that, things all went really really well.  It was a great experience.  The girls got to do things like learn to build a fire,
and then actually cook something over it.
All that smoke was getting in their eyes.  So these girl scouts improvised!
All the girls in this troop are very kind and it was great getting to make some memories with them all.

Birthday!

For our family, Summer kicks off with celebrating these 2!

Not gonna lie.  I'm proud of how these cakes turned out.

We invited the girls 3 closest friends and their families over to help us eat those cakes.  The kids all played "Sheep Toss,"

"Hot Hookfang,"
and "Unicorn Ring Toss."

The girls got really fun gifts from their friends, but the girls had also made gifts for each other.  :)

Don't know 'bout you, but with faces like that, I think they enjoyed their birthday.
